Fair!?! What's fair at Enloe?

The total sum of our Service Unit’s raises and benefits, that the administration proposed, will be about $1.5 million, per the administration's lawyer. That’s not even one year's cost for the Phil and Dan show!

Attention Enloe employees! Enloe administration, per its insistence has 'unselfishly' offered a total economic package aimed at "attracting and keeping staff" while they accuse union members of aiming at wages and benefits above industry standards. What standards are they using, their own?

At $408 grand, has Enloe calculated its chief financial officer’s salary below administrative standards? What have they stuffed into the pockets of our ever changing CEOs and COOs?

Enloe's administration proposed a 2% yearly step adjustment with an embarrassingly sub-standard initial raise averaging about 4.5%, when staff wages actually average about 40% to 50% below those of other north state union hospitals. They also compared us to Feather River, Oroville and Rideout Hospitals. Although these are fine centers, two are nonunion and Oroville has the Steel Workers union, a union that doesn't focus on healthcare workers. Our union at Enloe – UHW – does focus on healthcare workers.

The total sum of our Service Unit’s raises and benefits, that the administration proposed, will be about $1.5 million, per the administration's lawyer. That’s not even one year's cost for the Phil and Dan show! Misters Wolfe and Neumeister totaled about $2 million combined. Seems 600 long-term, hardworking employees are worth less than 2 short-term administrators. Where are they now? Whose left? As always, staff.

Aren’t we worth more than 2 highly paid, but proven incompetent office workers, who are "here today, gone tomorrow" leaders, who come and go, taking bags of Enloe money? Let’s hope PlaneTree can make these wage and benefits a positive experience for those whose concerns and values have been ignored and stunted for so long.

At bargaining on 3/31/08, the union pushed back with Industry Standards. Again!
