What would you think of an employer who denied its employees proper staffing, fair wages, benefits and morale? Now add in outsourcing to further lower the employees' morale, followed by hired consultants who lay off coworkers. Add in still another consulting group promising to improve our hospital's environment for patients, and yes, employees. Does it get any better? Enloe!
All while the above was occuring, our Enloe administration failed to listen to, or believe, their staff's concerns.
What kind of impression does that leave? That we Enloe Medical Center employees are worth less than, say, those employees working in hospitals in Sacramento? in Redding? or even in Red Bluff?
And let's not forget, these administrators, these supposed leaders, are sucking up larger-than-life salaries, draining the EMC cow, so to speak.
Wouldn’t you think we Enloe employees are worth the same wages, the same benefits, and the same treatment as employees of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital...at least? Those valued employees up in Red Bluff perform the same work as we do in Enloe, yet THEY get industry standard compensation and respect.
All that we ask is what any loyal staff deserves: the same treatment from Enloe Management that they expect from us – honesty, caring and value.
